About the Debonaire:

Our custom Debonaire, is elegantly designed by you for a unique look as well as a comfortable fit. Imagine heading down centerline in immaculate comfort and connection. Feeling the most subtle of movements has never been so easy while mounted in a saddle. Our billets are ergonomically placed to maximize movement of the horse but, minimize movement of the saddle. The panels are always wool flocked, the gullet set to your horses needs, and the tree selected for both horse and rider. Our seat is exceptionally comfortable without being over padded. The mono flap design is strategically crafted for a close contact feel with comfort. We made the rolls long and wide to promote a relaxed, correct position. Traditionally made with a deep seat, draped in traditional black buffalo leather, and the option to add contrasting stitching.

Debonaire Tree: This saddle is equip with our Barnes Spring Tree. Handcrafted and constructed with laminated beechwood, treated for strength and reinforced in the arches with a steel plate. This allows for ultimate longevity and the perfect base for form our panels off of. The Barnes Spring Tree is is also adjustable by a certified fitter.

Panels: Excellent panels are essential to the health of a horse's back. This is why we offer two forms of panels, soft foam or long lasting synthetic wool. The performance between the two are extremely similar, however, foam is better suited for saddles on multiple horses. We also offer two styles of panels, French or Standard, both of which are stylistic preference. French panels are thinner while our Standard panels are thicker (For more information on our panels and what may be the best fit for your horse, visit our design page). Regardless of your preferences, all Barnes saddles are designed to support and protect your horse specifically.

Flaps: All of our flaps are ergonomically designed and thoughtfully crafted for contact with the horse. Flaps come in four options, a standard 16" and a shorter 15", a straight flap, or a slightly forward flap. Or, send us your custom measurements and we will design the flap to your needs!

Seat: Always made with the rider in mind, we create every seat with the most comfortable, yet connected ride possible. Seats range from 16.5 to 18 depending on the build/height of the rider.

Blocks: We have multiple options to fit a variety of riders! Long, short, hidden, or external, we have what you need!
